After removing the item from the packaging I initially thought they had sent me a ring without a lens.I waved it around and held it up to several different lights but could not for the life of me see the glass. It was not until I turned around and looked out the side that faces I could see the light reflects off the lens. On the camera (a Canon HF S10) it's much the same story.The lens certainly not degrade the quality of what you are recording. But stray light is now a thing of the past. Im happy with the purchase of all time, decided to leave the filter..
